Well, hello there! Welcome to The Courageous Pursuit. Here's a little behind-the-scenes look at what this blog is all about: pursuing a relationship with God every day and in every way. But before we get into that, let me properly introduce myself.
Satan wants to use every distraction possible to keep us from knowing God intimately. That's why we have to be courageously intentional about pursuing God. There's a spiritual battle taking place out there. When we decide to run after God, we're running right into the middle of it. But guess what? Proverbs 21:31 says, "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord." There will always be victory in a life that pursues God.
Through my posts, I hope to encourage and inspire you in your personal walk with Him. There will be posts about getting through struggles, studying the Bible, praising God, and everything in between. A lot of times I'll share what God is teaching me in my own personal journey through the Scriptures. My goal is to post two to three articles a month. God just blows my mind sometimes, and I can't wait for you to join in this courageous pursuit!
Be sure to Subscribe so you don't miss anything! And check out some of my top articles, like Trusting God When Bad Gets Worse, or The Forgotten Story of Noah. If you want me to write on a particular subject or topic, let me know in the comments below!
I'm Marla!
I love people. I love getting to know them, learning their quirks and their secret nerdy obsessions. I'm a firm believer that hearty laughs and deep, meaningful conversations are just as soothing to the soul as a cup of coffee on a Saturday afternoon. Add a puppy and a good book and I'm in heaven! So, what's really behind The Courageous Pursuit?
To put it simply, it's all God. Throughout our Christian lives, we should be constantly pursuing Him. He's done so much for us through Jesus Christ, it's the least we could do, right? But sometimes it's easier said than done. Let's face it: work gets too stressful, church gets too fake, family gets too crazy, and personal time gets too rare. Life is hard, and it's equally hard keeping God at the center of it all.Satan wants to use every distraction possible to keep us from knowing God intimately.
